You’ll meet some of the most interesting thinkers and innovators in sound, who have dedicated their lives to reshaping the way we listen. And the new Friday edition is your chance to hear more international new music including new concert recordings from broadcasters around the globe and long-form late-night meditations from diverse new and recent releases. It’s another big listen.

Tonight we celebrate the 80th birthday (in 2009) of Pulitzer Prize winning composer George Crumb, with a concert of works including Music of a Summer Evening (Makrokosmos III).
Tonight we celebrate the 50th birthday of composer Andrew Schultz with a selection of his best-known works, including Dead Songs and Ekstasis.
Wrapping up our focus on last year's Witten Days for New Chamber Music with a concert by the Arditti String Quartet. We also take an icy trek through Iceland with pieces by Bjork and an electroacoustic work recorded in situ.
Tonight we chat to soprano Jessica Aszodi and trumpeter Tristram Williams, who'll join the group Quiver next week as part of the New Music Network's Mini Series. We'll also hear a Quiver concert from last year.
Focussing on last year's Witten Days for New Chamber Music, a prestigious festival in Germany. Also, Morton Feldman's masterpiece of quiet listening For Bunita Marcus.
Tonight we meet a pan-Pacific power couple. Martin Bresnick is a renowned composer and professor of composition at Yale University. His wife Lisa Moore is an Australian-born pianist who studied with Yvonne Loriod and is known as the "NY queen of the avant-garde".
